Just for the Good Start

Hi. 
I'm Greg.

I was thinking about starting this blog for a very long time. Yeah, I know. It doesn’t take long to start the blog. Agreed. For me, on the other hand, many simple, at first sight, tasks, take a long time. I’m not slow, if you ask. I’m just a slow starter. Always waiting in the blocks, thinking and analysing. Being completely honest, it's not a virtue. Quite often it would lead to overcomplicating, chaos and delay as a result. I like it though. It’s me and I quite like to live with myself.

Indeed, I’m writing a rather weird piece here. Preface.
For me, it’s just a beginning.
There is so much more to come. More about me, about whisky, reviews and stories, just to amuse myself and, maybe, you as well.

I like my whisky.
I don’t drink much, don’t have a red, sweaty face and raspberry nose.
For me, the world of whisky was the world of alcohol and booze you can use to get wasted and it was exactly like that for many years. What I used to appreciate in a drink was just its volume. Never a taste and never its smell. It has changed. I don’t even know when exactly. When I was young I used to drink for an effect, like all the others. Now I drink much less, but for a much bigger pleasure. Comes with an age, you may say as I am closer to fifty than to fifteen.
I will tell you about this in a separate post.All you need to know is that the world of whisky is different for me now. And, as a naturally born Polish, I have to admit it’s quite a statement.

I’m looking into the future now. I can see things I’m going to write here. This is quite a disturbing feeling. In many ways. Well, I’m going to do this anyway.

Please, don’t get offended. It’s simply not worth it.

I own this blog. Everything you will read here is mine and mine only. Well, I borrow the pictures from time to time as I can’t really take the good one myself. They wouldn’t look like they should. All the reviews and opinions are mine. Every line represents my own point of view. There’s absolutely no danger in this.

Loved and respected 12 years old blended Scotch. Born in 1909. Highly recognizable. The exceptional mixture of many whiskies in the iconic bottle. I remember the day I put all my Johnnie Walker bottles together on the table. They looked great.   Chivas Regal 12 Years Old Blended Scotch whisky is something everyone knows or has heard about. No doubt. This brand’s name is a part of the global culture and it’s flagship, 12 years old blended whisky is present around in films, books and songs, no less than other most popular Scotch whiskies on the planet Earth, like Red Walker , Grant’s or Ballantine’s Finest. I had to do its review and I had to do it at this early stage. I’m not going to tell you in which film or book I’ve heard the name for the first time ( Exorcist and King), but instead I will tell you a story from the past. The Woodsman Blended Scotch

  Once in a while I see something new, mostly online, something I’ve never heard about before, and I buy. Sometimes I don’t know why. I think it’s pure curiosity and I have the soul of a scientist after all. I like to try new things, and then I have an opportunity to write about them. The Woodsman Blended Scotch is a perfect example of it. I saw it on Amazon, searching for whisky to buy. This time my goal was to get some Japanese stuff, and actually I already had Tenjaku and Hatozaki in my shopping basket. I’m not a very superstitious man, well, I have my “things”, like almost every human being. You know what I’m talking about.
